The MiniRes was extensively field tested before a final production design was completed. Field testing included over a half year of rental of prototype MiniRes to projects with various climates and field conditions. It also allowed testing the effects of dozens of cross-country shipments.
A more powerful version of the MiniRes was introduced in July of 1999. This new version of the MiniRes is now available. It provides automatic shifting to greater voltage and greater current when ground conditions dictate.
New geophysical instruments are under design at this time. L and R Instruments also sells geophysical software. Several geophysical data reduction and interpretation programs are available for the fields of resistivity, magnetics and gravity. More will be added.
